Aux USA et au Canada, il est de coutume d’offrir une couverture en patchwork à la naissance d’un enfant en guise de porte-bonheur.
Cette couverture est un modèle unique artisanal en véritable patchwork composé des 3 épaisseurs de rigueur et matelassé. Il peut aussi servir de couvre-lit, de tapis de jeux ou de couvre-matelas.
Les tons et les motifs des tissus s’adaptent aussi bien à un petit garçon qu’à une petite fille. Idéal pour les petits bouts qui naissent en automne ou en hiver.
Le molleton est 100% polyester, pour un lavage fréquent et un séchage rapide.
Le dos du patchwork est aussi un tissu en coton (photo n°4). L’ étiquette traditionnelle de signature y est cousue en bas à gauche (photo n°5). Vous avez la possibilité d’y inscrire le nom de l’enfant pour personnaliser votre cadeau de naissance.
Le matelassage des 3 épaisseurs représente une guirlande de moulins et de boucles.
